All journeysJökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Ice Cave
2 Days / 1 Night · Winter (November–March) · Pick-up 8:30 AM · Reykjavík
In winter, Iceland's south coast feels quieter, sharper and more elemental. Black sand beaches meet snow-covered lava fields, icebergs drift through the lagoon, and deep beneath Vatnajökull, a blue ice cave takes shape for a single season before disappearing again.
This two-day private journey follows Iceland's south coast all the way to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where you'll spend the night beside Europe's largest glacier.
Along the way, you'll explore waterfalls, volcanic landscapes and black sand beaches before reaching the glacier region in the evening. By staying overnight, you'll experience Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach without the pressure of a same-day return to Reykjavík.
The following day is dedicated to Iceland's winter highlights: drifting icebergs, the glacier lagoon and a guided visit inside a naturally formed blue ice cave beneath Vatnajökull.

- Day 1
South Coast & Glacier Lagoon
What makes today specialThe day begins among the waterfalls and volcanic coastline that define Iceland's south coast. Beyond Vík, the landscape becomes increasingly glacial, opening into vast lava fields, black deserts and the edge of Vatnajökull National Park, where you'll spend the night beside tomorrow's adventures.
Northern Lights Search
If conditions permit, your guide will monitor cloud cover and aurora forecasts throughout the day and choose the best nearby location for the evening's search. As night falls, you'll head out beneath some of Iceland's darkest skies for a chance to witness the Northern Lights.

Glacier Lagoon & Blue Ice Cave
What makes today specialThe morning begins beside the glacier lagoon, when the icebergs are often at their quietest. This morning local glacier specialists take you into a naturally formed blue ice cave beneath Vatnajökull, where layers of compressed ice and volcanic ash reveal the glacier's constantly changing interior. To get closer to the ice cave you will ride a modified super jeep that can go through the rugged terrain. From here it is a short walk until you reach the access point to the cave. In the afternoon you will start your journey back to the city.
