All journeysJökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and Glacier Hike
2 Days / 1 Night · Summer (May–September) · Pick-up 9:00 AM · Reykjavík
Two days. One of Iceland's most dramatic transitions.
You begin among waterfalls, black sand beaches and volcanic cliffs. By evening, you're beside a lagoon filled with drifting icebergs. The next morning, before most travellers have even left Reykjavík, you're already standing on a glacier in the national park.
Why stay overnight? Located at the edge of Europe's largest glacier, Jökulsárlón is one of Iceland's most remarkable regions and worth experiencing beyond a quick visit.
By staying overnight, you experience the lagoon in the quieter hours of the day, spend less time in the vehicle, and begin your glacier adventure already surrounded by Iceland's largest ice cap.

Most South Coast tours turn around in Vík. This journey is designed differently, continuing further east into Vatnajökull National Park, where you'll experience the region without rushing through it in a single day.
